These designs were influenced by contrasting the word safe. Texture and raw was my keywords
.....
Bacteria, decomposing components floating around as if taking a closer look at what can't be seen by the human eye.... like under a microscope.
These could perhaps be a contemporary design of reproductive cells reflecting simple forms of both women's eggs and male sperm.
Circles... main shape.. ;
condom's, birth control pills (circular), egg's, cells, atoms, spermheads....
These designs also resemble popular clothing stores logos on their "perfect fit" t-shirts. which is catchy to the eye, suitable for all ages ,and looks great on solid fabrics......
I like your attempts here. I can definitely see that your third design has more attempts, but I like the final one (the one by itself) in terms of composition and style.
ReplyDeleteThe is in the last one does need to be moved over but the composition flows well it helps to bring the eye through the whole design instead of the viewer just reading the words. The safe being blue kind of throws me off maybe a little darker or even keeping it the same color like the first one the same color would work in the design better. I like the undertone of bacteria and disease that you were trying to convey, but the yellow circles in the last two make me think of honey combs more than bacteria and organelles. I am not so comfortable with the second text that is used in the second design it seems too quiet when used with the blocker style text.
ReplyDeleteI really like the first one, where the "bacterium" doesnt enter into the circle area, creating a powerful visual metaphor (that being that bacteria cant enter the condom)
ReplyDeleteIt looks very sleak and "arty" with the textured bacteria. The "is" inside the condom circle looks a bit off however, Im not sure if its placement or scale, or both.
