1. Describe the overall projected style of your piece.

The style is influenced by street grafitti, simplicity and texture. It reads as if it is engraved, known, and printed in one's mind. It even resembles a stamp like impression.
The style has an eroded feel which looks great on solid colors and through the silk screen process.

2. What do you wish to translate to the viewer with your chosen “look”.

from the ghetto streets to urban neighborhood being safe is important. I wanted the viewer to feel like , no matter what age or sex, that they could wear this shirt and feel COMFORTABLE in doing so.

3. Does it translate meaning? How?

I feel it reads that one has been "stamped" with the idea of wearing a condom during intercourse. It's impressed into ones mind that it is something that must happen. no excuses.

4. Does it fit PP?

I feel that PP is attracted to things that they know younger aged people are into.

I like the condom image but the text is still off....
I just wanted to appreciate the simplicity.
This design is designed for the age as low as 10 to      30 .. I would describe it as "street wear" It is influenced by graffiti and stencil techniques which will look great silk screened with the simple mono chromatic system working. I wanted to design something that was with the contemporary style ....to catch the eye of the young teens who just want to fit in...and I also wanted it to be acceptable to the older generation as well.  I think that these designs wold look good on and color t shirt with any color ink.

These designs were influenced by contrasting the word safe. Texture and raw was my keywords

.....
Bacteria, decomposing components floating around as if taking a closer look at what can't be seen by the human eye.... like under a microscope.

These could perhaps be a contemporary design of reproductive cells reflecting simple forms of both women's eggs and male sperm.

Circles... main shape.. ;
condom's, birth control pills (circular), egg's, cells, atoms, spermheads....

These designs also resemble popular clothing stores logos on their "perfect fit" t-shirts. which is catchy to the eye,  suitable for all ages ,and looks great on solid fabrics......

Inauguration Obama 09

"To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West: Know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench you fist."

While sitting in front of my 1998 TV, with an electric heater at my toes, my full attention is on the Inauguration of Barack Obama.  My stomach tightens s as Aretha Franklin sings "My Country 'Tis of Thee". Barack Obama stood tall and strong as he delievered his 18 minute and odd second speech.  I felt that the speech was very strong and firm. Not as good as Martin Luther King's " I have a Dream" but it's historic. It was only 60 years ago when Barack's father was refused service in the same city President Barack Obama lives now. Times are changing quick. I can only hope our country, government, and World I live in has dug it's deepest rut, and will begin to support it's self back out, for my children, and children's children.
